Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S er et selvstændigt rederi, noteret på NASDAQ OMX København A/S. Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S blev stiftet i 1871 og er et af Danmarks ældste internationalt arbejdende rederier. NORDEN opererer globalt i tørlast og tank.
Tørlast
Indenfor tørlast er Rederiet en af verdens største operatører af Handymax og Panamax tørlastskibe, hvortil kommer tiltagende aktiviteter i skibstyperne Handysize, Post-Panamax og Capesize. Aktiviteterne indenfor Handysize og Post-Panamax drives kommercielt af hhv. NORDEN Handysize Pool og NORDEN Post-Panamax Pool, som også driver skibe fro Interorient Navigation Company ltd. (INC), Cypern.
Tank
Indenfor tank er Rederiet aktiv Handysize, MR og LR1 produkttankskibe. Aktiviteterne inden for produkttank drives i Norient Product Pool, som administreres af det 50%-ejede Norient Product Pool ApS.
Flåde
NORDEN har en af industriens mest moderne og konkurrencedygtige flåder og opererer i alt omkring 150 tørlast- (eksl. skibe indbefragtet for enkeltrejser) og tankskibe (en blanding af ejet og indbefragtet tonnage). Hertil kommer et nybygningsprogram.
Kontorer
NORDEN har hovedkontor i Hellerup og kontorer i Singapore, Shanghai (Kina), Annapolis (USA), Rio de Janeiro (Brasilien) og Mumbai (Indien). På kontorerne har selskabet i alt omkring 250 medarbejdere og omkring 400 på Rederiets egne skibe.
NORDEN var medstifter af Danmarks Rederiforening i 1884 og har siden været medlem af foreningen. Herudover er NORDEN medlem af de internationale organisationer: Intertanko (The International Association of Independent Tanker Owners), BIMCO (The Baltic and International Maritime Council) og Det Internationale Handelskammer, ICC Denmark (International Chamber of Commerce).

Dry cargo
In dry cargo, NORDEN is active in all major vessel types. NORDEN is one of the world’s largest operators of Handymax and Panamax dry cargo vessels and has growing activities in the Handysize, Post-Panamax and Capesize vessel types. The Company's Handysize and Post-Panamax activities are operated commercially by NORDEN Handysize Pool and NORDEN Post-Panamax Pool, respectively, which also operate vessels from Interorient Navigation Company Ltd. (INC), Cyprus.
Tankers
In tankers, NORDEN is active in the Handysize, MR and LR 1 product tanker vessel types. The product tanker activities are operated through the Norient Product Pool, which is managed by the 50% owned Norient Product Pool ApS.
Fleet
NORDEN’s fleet is among the most modern and competitive in the industry and NORDEN operates a mix of owned and chartered tonnage in total about 150 dry cargo- (excluding single trip chartered vessels) and tanker vessels. In addition NORDEN has a newbuilding programme
Offices around the world
NORDEN has its head office in Hellerup, north of Copenhagen (Denmark) and offices in Singapore, Shanghai (China), Annapolis (USA), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Mumbai (India). At its offices NORDEN has in total about 250 employees and about 400 are employed on the Company’s owned vessels.
NORDEN was a founding member of the Danish Shipowners' Association in 1884 and has since been a member. Furthermore NORDEN is a member of the international organisations; Intertanko (The International Association of Independent Tanker Owners), BIMCO (The Baltic and International Maritime Council) and ICC Denmark (International Chamber of Commerce).
